ADHD Assessment

We provide assessments for both paediatric and adult clients.

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, impulse control, and behaviour regulation. It can present differently from person to person - some individuals are predominantly inattentive, others are hyperactive-impulsive, and many experience a combination of both. ADHD also impacts thinking, emotions, and social interactions, and often looks quite different in children than it does in adults.

Common signs of ADHD include:

  • Difficulty sustaining focus, especially on tasks that aren't stimulating

  • Frequent forgetfulness or misplacing items

  • Acting impulsively without thinking through consequences

  • Restlessness or difficulty staying seated

  • Poor time management and difficulty with planning

  • Inconsistent performance across tasks or settings

Our ADHD assessments look at the full picture - not just attention in isolation, but how difficulties impact daily life, relationships, learning, and emotional wellbeing.

We have a collaborative relationship with Kin Clinic, a psychiatry clinic located in Brighton.

Where clinically appropriate, individuals who complete a psychological assessment with us may access a short psychiatry review appointment for medication consideration based on their assessment outcomes. Current wait times via this pathway are approximately 2 weeks, significantly reducing delays in accessing medication support.

FEES:
